About Us

      The Red Snapper Inn was established in 1987 by Ivan Stathopoulos as a seasonal restaurant to serve summer tourists in the seaside resort village of Surfside Beach. In 1991 Ivan's son-in-law, Owner/Chef, Lin Biar, brought his Louisiana inspired seafood favorites to a burgeoning year round operation that boasts some of the best seafood served on the Texas Gulf Coast.




   With its cheerfully casual beach flotsam decor, the Red Snapper Inn is laid back, but its food and service is definitely up to big city norms. The kitchen and staff take their jobs seriously and have been recognized and featured in Texas Monthly, Texas Highways Magazine, the Houston Press, the Houston Chronicle, the Brazosport Facts, the Austin American Statesman, and B 4 U eat.com.
    Lin purchased the entire operation in August 07 expanding payment and menu options. Recently renovated from Hurricane Ike the Red Snapper Inn continues to a beacon to those seeking a great dining experience.
